Sambar Powder (Podi)
Red chilly – 2 cup
Coriander seed – 4 cup
Bengal gram – ½ cup
Cumin seed – ¼ cup
Black pepper – 2 tbsp
Turmeric Powder – 4 tbsp
Raw rice – ¼ cup
Curry leaves – one hand bunch
Methods of Sambar Powder (Podi)
1. Heat pan and roast all the ingredients lightly.
2. Keep aside let it cool.
3. Grind all the ingredients to fine powder.
4. Store Sambar Powder (Podi) in an airtight container.
5. This Sambar powder is used to prepare Vegetable Sambar, Idly Sambar.
6. Sambar powder’s given execellent Aroma in the Sambar.
